The School of Art + Art History's Undergraduate Advisors host a variety of open student "drop-in" hours each week. There are no appointments; advising works via the virtual "Drop-in" hours only. These hours vary week to week depending on other administrative obligations, and are updated weekly.
We have found that advising works very well on zoom, so joining the zoom "drop-in" hours will always be a possibility. If you would prefer in-person, we usually have an advisor available to meet in person during the scheduled advising hours. Just stop by FAC 108 and follow the instructions on the door. Instructions for how to sign into both in-person and the virtual zoom hours (so you don't have to be on campus) are listed below.
Note: These "drop-in" hours are for current UF undergraduate students only. If you are a prospective student, please email saahadmissions@arts.ufl.edu with your inquiry.

Although the majority of our studio classes have prerequisites that require you to be one of our majors, it is still possible to gain access, pending space availability after our majors have finished registering, and pending sufficient art background.
For gaining access to Spring semester studio classes, we encourage you to reach out after December 15th to see if we have any available space. While access to our studio classes is *never* guaranteed, it may indeed be possible - be sure to check with us. We'd love to have you join us, pending space availability!
NOTE: We do not permit students to audit our courses.
We also have a variety of studio courses designed for non-art majors, and other oppportunities to get more involved with the College of the Arts. Learn more here.
For current UF students with inquiries regarding our art history minor, art studio minor, or ceramics certificate, please follow the instructions for visiting the advisors during the Student "Drop-in" Hours.
During advanced registration (late-October to mid-November), we ask that you meet with us after December 15th. If you are an incoming freshman, interested in studio art classes, please visit the advisor sometime during the fall or spring semesters to learn more about the minor and how to gain access to our coursework.
There are no studio courses you can take to work towards the art minor during your first semester as a freshman.
NOTE: Unfortunately, we do not accept majors outside of the SA+AH into our Graphic Design Minor programs due to faculty and space limitations.
For current UF students not majoring within the SA+AH who have inquiries regarding changing majors into one of our majors, please follow the instructions for visiting the advisors during the Student "Drop-in" Hours.
